Merchants of fine medieval and fantasy garb
What monk is properly dressed without their ubiquitous monastic robe and hood? Liturgical or layman, you will look properly humble in our monk's robe and hood.
Our robe sets come with the plain robe and a matching hood. These two pieces can be worn together or separately. You can wear this robe over another outfit, or by itself, with or without a belt.
Our robe sets are typically made from a single layer of linen or wool with lining in the sleeves and hoods. Linen robes are recommended for warmer temperatures due to its comfort with wool recommended for cold and wet climates. We can make a scapular on special request as well as additions such as emblazoned crusader crosses. Please contact us if you desire additional embellishments.
Brown is our most commonly ordered color followed by black, white, blue, and red. Brown is used by Catholic Orders and some Holy Orders of nuns, with Black used by Greek Orthodox, Coptics, nuns, and some crusading orders such as the Hospitallers. White was most commonly used by the Knight Templar. Nuns of the Order of the Poor Clares and Sisters of the Immaculate Conception wear blue while red was also worn by nuns such as Sisters of the Annunciation, and by Catholic bishops.
